The file that was tested for Open Freely was openfreely_setup.exe. The remote web server hosting openfreely_setup.exe produced a redirect which was followed to a final destination and tested for viruses and submitted for spam and malware tests. These tests apply to Open Freely 2.0.0.0 which is the latest version last time we checked. Open Freely contains adware which was bundled with this software by the developer and not by LO4D.com.

All tests were carried out on systems running both Windows 7 (64-bit version) and Windows XP (32-bit version).
